Happy the 1st of August! When I still was a kid (around 7 years old), I considered that this month was the end of summer, but I guess that now I've grown up since I feel like the summer has only passed its halfway! Or then it has something to do with the fact that my graduation is getting closer, and the only school-time I have left is writing my thesis :'D The time of that super-challenge is drawing to a close, but before that I'm trying to enjoy my time with friends, writing, traveling etc.
As you might remember, last week I got on a car with my mom and dad, and went for a roadtrip to Längelmäki. It's a small place close to Tampere - the car-trip from Tampere to the cabin lasts about 1½h hrs. But I'm quite sure that you don't want more blabbering about statistics of Tampere, Hervanta, our car or the trip, so I'll give you the pics straight away!
I'll make it short - I visited Hervanta because of a novel I've been writing. All I saw were blocks of flats.

That's about it folks! The trip was really nice, and even our cat loved us when we got back home...

After the cabin-holiday I've been chilling at home and spending time with computer, books and writing. I've also managed to cook some food - for example these zucchinis (oh I love that word so much) filled with vegetables and cheese!

I also painted a picture of an axolotl! The picture is anything but sharp - I wish I had a great scanner, so that I wouldn't have to take pictures with my cellphone </3
In the end, some leisure I've been working with. I've spent my time sending letter with a friend from Mikkeli, and we've both fallen in love with the moustache-stickers that I bought on my trip to Helsinki! The letter also includes my greeting for the mail-workers: you are doing a very wonderful job!
The theme of this week - shopping and travelling! I spent most of the week at Kouvola at my dear friend's place, just chilling and spending time leisurely. We also got on one-day-Helsinki-trip, and this entry is mostly about that adventure.
We visited the Art Museum Ateneum, that had a Tove Jansson 100 years- exhibition! The exhibition included Jansson's self-drawn portraits, landscapes, illustrations, magazine-prints, and of course - Moomins! There was also art from people who Tove had inspired, or Tove had been inspired by. I love Moomins very deeply, and visiting this exhibition was probably one of the most exquisite things during my entire life. Unfortunately it wasn't allowed to take pictures in the museum, but I recommend, that if you're visiting Helsinki, go see the exhibition!

Fortunately for us, there was also a special day in Finnkino in our day of visit, so we went to watch the Grand Budapest Hotel! A great movie, I recommend you watch it :D
In Kouvola the days went by lazily. We ate good food, chilled, slept too much - spent our youth in the right way, someone liberal enough (a.k.a. me) might say. And since the pics tell more than a thousand words:
In the end, something I have NEVER done in the history of this blog - I post pictures of clothes and other randoms that I bought during my trip.
This shirt is from (UGH, I feel kind of an teenager when I say this) from H&M at only 7 euros! We both bought the same type of shirts, me and my friend - and yeah, that somehow sounds like something only 13-years-old-best-friends do. But wha'evs! I also bought new sunglasses, that match quite nicely with the shirt :3 They were from Tiger (cost only 5 €uros, so I'm not that sure how long they will last!)
I like moustache. I like them too much. No reason why. The just are. Moustache. Something you can't have too much. Especially in accessories. The stickers were from Accessorize (0,75 €uros/arch), the flask (4 €uros) and the socks (3 €uros for these beautys, wow!) are also from Tiger
This DVD got to my bag from flea market with only 2 €uros! Finally I have the entire LOTR-trilogy on DVD :3
In the end, a few pics of my new wallet that I am deeply in love with! This one dropped to my postbox from eBay with only around 7 €uros. Just love <3
Few, lots of pics but hopefully they we're worth watching :D Now I will just relax for a few days, since next week I'm gonna go for a real cottage holiday for about 4-5 days! I get to to my grandfather's cottage, where I've last been about 8 years ago. Hopefully I will be all whee and yay and whop-a-dee-doo because of that!
This
week me and my friend Iida decided to try, what it'd be like to live
one day totally without Internet-connection and mobile phone. To me
the challenge was quite big, since on the summer holiday I've gotten
used to spending lots of time by watching series online, chatting in
Skype and scrolling over news medias. On the other hand, life
without phone wasn't that hard since most of the people that contact
me regularly were aware of my "one-human-revolution".
On
a nutshell my day contained reading, writing, meeting my grandmother
in the assisted living building, visiting library and heating up the sauna! I
warmed sauna by myself for the first time last weekend, and I STILL
feel like a alpha-male because of that :D I bet you all know what
sauna is - it's that awkward small, very hot cabin where it is very
hard to breathe or think of nothing else but fresh exhaustion!

While writing this entry I've been jamming with music, which reminds me about one of the worst things during this challenge - no music with transport! Usually I listen to music
almost 23/6, so now that all the music was in the phone (as my loyal
MP3-player crashed down last April after a 7-year-companionship), I felt
quite... normal and lame because I didn't have my personal
"soundtrack" with me. Luckily I had the chance to listen to
the music from my PC in the evening, since our challenge didn't forbid the use of computer!
To
me this challenge proved, that nowadays a regular, on-going citizen
with average social skills and a broad interest towards the changing
world etc., blablabla, can deal for one day without Internet if he/she has other things to keep her/himself busy with! I suggest that
everyone that reads this post, tries to shut down the mobile phone
and Internet just for one day, just to see how will they manage :)
you never know, what comes to your mind when you don't spend your
every free minute by checking, if someone has poked you on Facebook
or sent game request from Candy Crush Saga.

I think the heatwave has destroyed most of my skill to think and analyze things, but hopefully these pictures are enough to tell you about my first summer-week! I've been working as a personal caretaker of my grandmother at Hankasalmi station (a place in between no-man's-land and middle-of-nowhere), and most of the time I've spent by reading, watching silly anime and random YouTube-thingies. It's been really weird to have some much pastime in my hands !
But on with the pictures, like I promised.
In the beginning of the month I made some soyballs by the recipe I got from my friends blog (which you can see by clicking here! The blog is mostly in Finnish, but I'm pretty sure neither me or my friend can write the recipe in English also, if needed :) ) The soyballs tasted much better than they looked... My friend made these for my birthday-party last month, and I solemnly swear this is one of the best soy-foods I've ever eaten.
And even my cat loved me when I made these. Cats <3 creme
More food - pizza I made with my parents! P.S. I put some zucchini on my own pizzas, and blimey, it was goooood.
I've also spent lots of time with hairy dudes. I mean doges. I mean dogs.
Okay lets have one doge because summer.

This weekend I went on a summer cottage of a friend of mine and his uncle had his lovely Milli-dog with him :3
Although I have been spending a lot of time by myself lately (since I'm quite far away from most of my friends + family), I've had lots of fun via Skype, Facebook and face to face, also!
We've been having a semi-epic poking-battle on Facebook with a friend of mine, and last week we reached the check-point of 100 pokes! I know, we seem to enjoy the little things a bit too much since because of this my friend made this magnificent and unique "motivational poster" to cheer us towards the next, 200-pokes-check-point :D The artist wanted to stay anonymous, but let's say that he is a well-respected and bohemic artist with great visual sense. Even though his grammar is - let's say - a bit cranked.
Like I said, I also went to my friend's summer cottage that locates somewhere in the Puula-lake, and had reeeeally funny times over there! Although this picture might look like we're having a some kinf of spiritual convention, that's not what actually happened; we just wanted to play a game called Changing Labyrinth in a exciting atmosphere!
And I think those were the main things that occurred this week. Next time I will try to put more pictures of my cat and sceneries of summer, since I looove Finnish summer veery much :)(Gosh, I gotta get rid of those stupid loooooong words. They make me look like a troll.)
Hello everybody, and welcome to my summer-blog of summer 2014! Since this might be the last summer that I can spend quite randomly and mess around in a relaxed mode (most of the time), I thought I'd capture most of my summer and share it via my blog :) Most of the posts will only consist of pictures, so that you don't have to spend too much time by thinking what on earth I am blabbering about. (Since I seem to have the talent - or more precisely, urge - of blabbering, both in real life and in textual format !)
My summer holiday just began today (or actually I still should write a report of my time as a working trainee, but NEVER MIND), so I don't have that much of pictures to share with you. But here's a few that give you some clues about what I might talk about this summer!
